I-20 Heading East (from Birmingham)
Take exit 168 (Lincoln-Talladega Highway 77).
Continue on 77 for just under ten miles. Highway 77 will then curve to the right. There is a Hwy 77 sign that is misleading. It indicates a right turn next to the funeral home. Instead, stay straight as Hwy 77 will actually CURVE right at Jack's Hamburgers.
Go through a traffic light and then cross two railroad tracks.
Continue to the traffic light at Courthouse Square. At the traffic light you can turn only to the right or to the left.
Turn LEFT. This puts you on North Street, E. On North Street you will travel about 0.6 mile going through one traffic light and one stop sign.
After the stop sign Somerset House is the sixth house on the right. It is a gray double veranda house with full length verandas on the first and second floors.
Facing the house, ample off-street parking is to the right.
I-20 Heading West (from Atlanta)
Take the second Anniston-Oxford exit (Hwy. 21).
At end of exit turn LEFT onto Highway 21.
Stay on Highway 21 (20 miles into Talladega).
When you enter Talladega, Highway 21 turns to the left at the Dairy Queen, DO NOT TURN LEFT - CONTINUE GOING STRAIGHT. This becomes North Street, E.
Go through one stop sign. After the stop sign Somerset House is the ninth (9th) house on the LEFT.
Facing the house, off-street parking is to the right.
From the South (from Sylacauga)
Travel on Al Hwy 21 N through Sylacauga toward Talladega. About 3/4 mile north of marker 227, Hwy 21 makes an abrupt turn to the right to bring you into Talladega. (Watch for the sign) Total distance from Sylacauga to Talladega is about 20 miles.
On other side of courthouse turn LEFT and go one block.
Then turn RIGHT onto North Street, E.
Travel about 0.6 mile going through one traffic light and one stop sign.
